SUPPORTING WOOD LAKE NATURE CENTER
100% of the profits from this event benefit the 46-year
environmental-education partnership between Wood Lake Nature Center and
Richfield Public Schools, a program put in jeopardy in the wake of state
budget cuts in 2003. The participants of this event have kept the program
funded ever since.
35W ramp at 66th Street will be closed on race day; 66th Street is
under construction between Lyndale and Nicollet. Visit our Directions page for more information.
All runners who complete their event and cross the finish
line will receive a handmade wood finisher medal, made from buckthorn slices
and other invasive tree species at Wood Lake Nature Center.
All runners receive a Greenlayer Pace
short-sleeve running shirt, available in unisex and womens cuts. Shirts are
distributed at the finish line area.
Packet pickup is Friday, July 27, 8:00 am
to 6:00 pm, Ice Arena, or on race day starting at 5:45 am.
The flat, fast courses wind through shaded
residential neighborhoods and through three natural areas. The
USATF-certified half-marathon course is home to many runners' personal
records. See information about the course, including map and elevation
profile, on the Course
