Set-Up
Adult volunteers will set up the
check-in area, race course, and finish area. This will begin at 6:00
a.m. Some volunteers may work other duties as the race begins.
Runner Check-In
Adult volunteers will check in
participants and hand out race packets, t-shirts, timing chips and numbers.
Registration begins at 6:00 a.m. Some of the check-in helpers can also
work other stations once all entrants have received their materials.
Water Stops
Volunteers will dispense water into cups
and hand cups to the runners as they pass and pick up empty cups. Once all
the runners have passed the water stop, it needs to be cleaned up and
volunteers may head to the finish to help or help tear down the course.
Course Marshals
Adult volunteers are stationed at
strategic locations to guide and monitor runners through course.
Split
Timers
Volunteer stationed at 10K mark with
stopwatch to inform runners of the elapsed time as they pass this mark.
Finish Line
Volunteers assist runners as they finish,
collecting timing chips and directing them to food line, rest rooms or
medical attention.
Food Line
Volunteers keep food line stocked for the
5K and Half-Marathon finishers.
Clean-Up
Volunteers will help take down and clean
up the finish area, food lines and course.
Prepare Race Packets
Volunteers are needed before the race day
to prepare race packets to be given to registered participants.
SPECTATORS!!!
Volunteers are needed to cheer on the
runners and show support for this event!! We need lots of spectators
along the course route, so find a spot near your home, school or work and
cheer on the runners!!!
